I think I'd like to make an online Settlers of Catan game, but do not know how to make the game board (interlocking hexagons)? Any thoughts? It seems everything other than the graphical element would be pretty easy, but I am not sure how to do this the first step.

The best I have come up with are little images such as a square composed of two different collor triangles and putting a whole bunch of these together.
